Married for nearly 40 years to Reg Grundy - founder of the Grundy Organisation, the creators of Neighbours - Joy played a reappearing character from 1985 to 1996, flying in from her New York office to run the Lassiters complex.
Joy moved away from TV to pursue a career in writing. She has five best-selling historical novels under her belt.
Joy will appear on the show in Episode 5962 on 6th July.

Former Neighbours star Joy Chambers made a brief stopover in Melbourne to reprise her role of hard-nosed businesswoman Rosemary Daniels as part of the show's 25th anniversary celebrations.
