The evening was hosted by the Elephant & Wheelbarrow pub in St Kilda, and staff from Bunyip Tours as well as industry colleagues gave their time to make the evening a success. The ‘Neighbours’ production team kindly donated signed Neighbours memorabilia, which was auctioned off throughout the evening. Also auctioned on the night were contributions from tour operators and accommodation providers throughout Melbourne.
George Josevski, Managing Director of Bunyip Tours and the Official Neighbours Night, was gobsmacked by the generosity of everyone involved.
“Never have I experienced anything like this since I started the Neighbours Nights back in 1998, and I am humbled by the generosity of the actors, fans, and everyone who volunteered their time to make this evening a night to remember."
“Most importantly I’m thrilled that we can send this money to help the victims of Victoria’s Bushfires," he said.
Throughout the night, Neighbours fans were entertained by Sam Clarke (Ringo) who sang with his band The Keepers, as well as Steve Bastoni (Steve Parker), Blair McDonough (Stu), Ben Nicholas (Stingray), Patrick Harvey (Connor) and Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson) who all sang with resident Neighbours Night band ‘Waiting Room’, fronted by Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl).
The money raised will be personally presented to the Red Cross this week by George Josevski.

Neighbours Stars and Fans Join Forces!

Neighbours fans and stars alike joined forces this week in the biggest event in ‘Neighbours Night’ history to raise money for Victoria’s Bushfire victims. Over 20 actors from the show – past and present – volunteered their time on 16th February to meet the fans, who paid to attend the one-off event. The evening raised a total of $31,105.50, which is being donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund.
