Valentina Uncovered

We got down and personal with Valentina Novakovic and asked her your questions in our next edition of Neighbours Uncovered.
If you had the chance to, would you change anything about your character? Miss Noodles
For me as an actor, I love playing her just the way she is. However, if she was a friend, I would tell her to stop the lying, the manipulation, and be happy with who she is. Is your fashion style similar to the Tash’s? Sienna No it’s not. I certainly don’t wear as much pink as her and she is full-on bling when it comes to jewellery. I’m a lot more casual. Do you think Natasha represents your real life personality? Sienna I really hope I’m not as irritating as Natasha! Do you get surprised when the producers tell you what they have planned for Tash? Sienna Every Friday when I get a new script, it’s like Christmas. The more extreme the storyline, the more challenging and fun it is to play. I read that your parents are Serbian. Do you manage to visit Serbia very often? Alison I actually lived there for six months about six years ago, and used to go there a lot when I was younger. I went back over the Christmas break a couple of years ago and saw all my extended family. I speak Serbian when I’m at my parents’ place, but it’s been a harder since I’ve moved out. I really love your beautiful name. Do you like it yourself? Emily Valentina is a Russian name, and I really like it. My full name is a bit of mouthful – but then so is ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’ and everyone knows how to say his name. When I was younger, I thought I would change it if I became an actress, but now I’m glad that I didn’t. It’s me, it’s my family. Do you want to go to Hollywood one day and if so who would be on the top of your wish list to work with? Robin I would like to eventually, I don’t know when but I think we all aspire to have a go over there and dream big. I would love to work with Julie Roberts and also Rachel McAdams, people say I look like her so it would be fun to play her sister. Did you always want to be an actor, if not what was your other choice of career? Hannah Yes acting was always my first choice, however when I realised it isn’t that easy, I did a year of architecture at university. I probably would have continued if I hadn’t have got an acting role. I’m really happy where I am. Your sister is also an actor, is this something that runs in the family? Troy My parents did some plays but it’s just my sister and I. You’re incredibly beautiful, do you follow any particular beauty routine or diet? Francine Oh, thank you. I follow a vegan diet which cuts away so much bad stuff and there is so much you can eat which people don’t realise. And I drink lots of water and moisturise. Who is your favourite TV or flim actor? Redskin I’m probably going to have to stick with Julia Roberts or Rachel McAdams. Also, Meryl Streep, she is so versatile and amazing. Sean Penn and Christian Bale are incredible, and I’m really looking forward to Joel Edgerton’s new film The Warrior. Do you have a bestie on set? Georgina I think we are all such good friends. Jordan, Chris, Gemma and I play tennis and have coaching every week. Jordy and I have been good friends since I started. And Ash is great, we all get along so well. Have to ask because it’s a Neigbours thing but do you sing and if so, any plans to release a single? Justin I can 100% say I cannot sing and I will never release a single. I would actually love to be able to do it, I love singing but I just can’t do it.
